Lord, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. Psalm 16:5-6

Often times we have a disappointment about our life in general, starting with our spouses, to self to our career to homes. We feel we are obligated to better, bigger and more of everything. The disappointment then turns to frustrations, arguments and lovelessness, thus igniting more disappointments. There is no end to this cycle.

Unless of course, we understand that everything we have is what God has given to us and intended for us as our inheritance.

Of all the people in the world, isn't it amazing how God brought you and your spouse together as husband and wife?! Yet we complain. we murmur. we fight. we take flight.

This can't be.

Let us let today's scripture sink in for a while. Take the time to read it over and over until you fully get it. Now thank the Lord for it. For your assigned portion. For your assigned cup. For your secure lot. For your boundary lines. For the pleasant places. For your delightful rightful inheritance.

Praise the Lord from the very depth of your heart. And, stop any and all bickering over your lot.
