“Purify my heart, let me be as gold, pure gold”.
How often we have sung this song! I wonder if any of us really understand the process involved. To purify gold, it must go through different levels of purification, each time the temperature of the furnace is increased, until all the impurities come floating up leaving the pure gold below.
That is exactly how our hearts are purified, in the furnace of our affliction, trials and hardships. Maybe, today what you are going through is part of that process.
Hold on, child of God, when this is over you will come forth fine as gold.
