For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

Apostle Paul was zealous in all he did. As a persecutor, he had a zeal to eradicate the followers of Jesus Christ. When he met the Lord though, he became zealous for spreading the Gospel.

As Saul he was ready to kill; as Paul, he was ready and willing to die.

His strong passion for the Lord Jesus Christ is keenly evident in his statement above. He persuades the reader (in this case, the Church in Rome) that nothing can ever separate him from the love of God. He turned out to be the greatest evangelist ever.

In fact, Paul's earnest enthusiasm in spreading the gospel of Christ has made his name revered wherever the Christian religion is known.  His writings make up much of the New Testament of the Bible.

But none of the fame or suffering stood between him and the Lord. Paul held true to his statement through many persecutions he suffered, even to his very death.

He writes in Romans 8:18, "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us."

The question remains: Are we zealous for the Lord? Can we make a similar statement about our love of God?
