Success is defined as the 'accomplishment of an aim or purpose'.

We all have a purpose we strive towards. We want to accomplish our purpose or aim in life so that we can be considered successful too.

While the world struggles to come up with a key to success, we as God's children have it all handed down to us in His words.

I like psalm 1 as it lists down the very basic things we must adhere to, to prosper in what whatever we do.

Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.

He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper. 

~ Psalms 1:1-3

It is plain and simple that complying to God's principles here we are guaranteed of success!

Vice versa is also true! That is: not complying to the said principles here would lead to an unsuccessful toil of life. 

Now that we have found the key to success let us unlock our success. Praise the Lord.
