Then I saw "a new heaven and a new earth," for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. Revelation 21:1
Clearly this new heaven and new earth the Lord is preparing for us is in vast contrast from the current earth we live in.
We read in Genesis 1:9, And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.”
So, in the current earth, we have the seas. In the new earth there is no sea!
Sea represents the deepest depths on this earth. Sea brings to our minds storms, tsunamis, turbulence, darkness, fear and death. The fact that there is no sea in the new earth clearly explains the void of any of these calamities that can be associated with the seas, which clearly indicates the opposite is true of hell - referred as the deepest pit of gloom (2 Peter 2:4).
It is an awesome place the new earth God is preparing for us. We can see the certainty of the promises of God continuing through the rest of the passage:
I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
I trust that none of the readers here at Coffee with Jesus are among the blacklisted categories mentioned above. Let us praise God we are homeward bound! Amen!

He
who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then
he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
He
said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning
and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the
spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. But
the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually
immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they
will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the
second death.” Revelation 21:3-8
