Pin It Now!
It is a land the LORD your God cares for; the eyes of the LORD your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end. Deuteronomy 11:12
The 'land' here can very well represent us, our household, our territory. It is true God cared for us all through this year. His eyes were continually on us from the beginning of the year to today - the last Friday of the month! Praise the Lord!
The stress is on the word 'continually'. We were not even seeking His presence continually. Yet, His eyes were on us continually. But why?
Because, the devil roams the earth continually also - back and forth looking to devour. (The LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it." Job 1:7. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. I Peter 5:8)
As we wrap up the year, let us acknowledge His continual care in our lives. Let us be grateful for His protection and His providence. Let us earn to seek Him continually as well.
God bless you all. Happy last Friday of 2014! Have a good weekend.
