There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

Let us be careful to stay away from these seven things that are detestable to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We may not be guilty of some of the serious stuff mentioned here; however every one of us is guilty of lying tongues and haughty eyes and wicked schemes, stiring up conflicts and such. Knowing that these are equally detestable to our Lord as much as shedding innocent blood, should keep us on track to refrain from them.
