Today's reading: Proverbs 15 Click here to read online (NIV)
Verse of the day: "Better a little with the fear of the LORD than great wealth with turmoil." 15:16
In his letter to Timothy Apostle Paul writes, "But godliness with contentment is great gain" I Timothy 6:6
I am also reminded of Mark 8:36: "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?"
We are often running after things to satisfy our temporary needs forgetting the eternal life. If you think about it, all that matters in the end is our soul - where it will spend it's eternity?
Let us be thankful for the blessings we have. Let us not focus to acquire more and more of material things. Let us learn to be contented with what we have and focus our attention to the well being of our soul. Shall we?
