Verse of the day: "Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife." Proverbs 25:24
How many of us are guilty of being a quarrelsome (wo)man from time to time? How does it affect our spouse children when we quarrel? I am sure they too can relate to King Solomon here as he shares exactly how it feels like living with a quarrelsome spouse.
So, what is the solution?
In John 4:1-3 we read:
What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
Makes us think; does it not?
Whatever is the cause of our rifts, let us learn to take it to our Lord, even before we bring it up to our spouses. Then His grace will be sufficient for us and His peace will engulf us both. Amen!
