A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice. Isaiah 42:3

The reed here implies the weak and fragile among us who sway at the slightest wind. A bruised reed would therefore mean the person who has been greatly afflicted by the trials of life, yet not completely broken.

Same way, a smoldering wick has very little strength to stay alive. That's how severe the wind blows.

Today's message is for those who can relate to such a situation. Please be comforted that our Lord carefully tends to you. In faithfulness He will bring your justice. So hang in there...
