Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! Isaiah 49:15
Happy Mothers Day! As we all honor our mothers today, just wanted to remind you about our Heavenly Father who is more than a mother to each one of us!
It is highly impossible for a mother to forget her child. But even if she were to, the Lord promises He never will!
King David took this promise to heart; he sang: Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me. Psalm 27:10
Amen!
Especially when a parent passes away we feel forsaken, lonely and unloved. Instead of brooding over sorrows, let us find our solace in the embrace of our Lord this morning! He is the one thing constant about this life and the next! His words are yeah and amen!
Few Scriptures here to encourage you celebrate and honor your mothers:
Keep your father's commands and do not forsake your mother's teaching. Proverbs 6:20
Listen to your father, who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old. Poverbs 23:22
Rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the LORD. Leviticus 19:32
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Ephesians 6:1
