Verse of the day: "Do not say, “I’ll do to him as he has done to me; I’ll pay that man back for what he did." 24:29
Once again here is an example of a characteristic of human nature in contrast with godly nature. It is natural in human nature to feel the urge to take revenge; however, it is not fit for the faithful, who is to leave it up to God to avenge.
Proverbs 20:22 goes hand in hand with this verse; it says: "Do not say, "I'll pay you back for this wrong!" Wait for the LORD, and he will deliver you."
"It is mine to avenge; I will repay", says the Lord (Deuteronomy 32:25)
It may look like a failure as we can't reciprocate right away; but hang in there, God will repay.
