I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26

I can sense it in the Spirit that today's message comes directly to someone among us - whose heart has been hardened over many situations in life. Rest assured today is the day of  "heart transplant" for you, by the Lord Himself.

He promises to give you a new heart with a new spirit in you. He will remove from you the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh! Hallelujah!

Whoever has hurt you in the past, whatever has hardened your heart, however long it has been, however hard your heart has become, this very minute the Holy Spirit is reaching in, removing it, lifting it up and away! Praise the Lord! Hallelujah! And here He is replacing it with a brand new heart! A heart full of joy! A heart full of praise! A heart that hurts no more. A heart that is soft and sensitive to His healing touch. Amen!

Lift your hands and praise the Lord! Raise your voice and praise the Lord! Pour out your heart and praise the Lord! It is okay to cry and praise the Lord. It is absolutely okay to jump and dance and clap and sing and snap and shout and praise the Lord!

Let us get completely renewed in Spirit this morning. It is not an ordinary Friday morning. It is a day of new start! It is a day of healing to your being! It is a day of freedom from our long lasting hurt. It is a day of a brand new heart. Amen!

Thank you Lord for this miracle this very minute that is happening around this "coffee table". Thank you for your presence among us here Lord. Thank you for the healing you are bringing in our hearts today Lord. Thank you Lord for removing our stone hearts and replacing it with a flesh heart this morning. Hallelujah! We praise you and we glorify your name Lord. Your name alone we glorify! Thank you Jesus for your presence. Thank you Holy Spirit for your healing. Thank you Father for your comfort. We love you and praise you from our new hearts Lord! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! In Jesus's wonderful name we thank you, Amen!

Amen! The old has gone, the new has come! (2 Corinthians 5:17) Praise be to Jesus!

How to turn away from our wicked ways?

Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. Psalm 34:14

Let's look closely at how to turn away from our wicked ways as part of our discussion on 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Ask the behavioural experts, they will tell you that one can't really get rid of a bad habit, but only replace a bad habit with a good habit. That's exactly what we see in today's Scripture. Turn from evil and do good!

Every one of us, whether we are believers or non-believers, young or old, rich or poor, we all know for sure what is good vs. what is evil. That is the only way we humans differ from animals - the sense to know the good from the evil. Which ultimately means only one thing - we are solely responsible when we choose to live in wicked ways. No, it is not satan, nor the world; but the self in us is to be blamed.

This self dies when we are born again, resulting in a brand new sparkling fresh self! This is what we read in 2 Corinthians 5:17,  If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

So, the ultimate solution to turn from wicked ways is to give our hearts to Jesus Christ! He will guide us in the paths of righteousness. Then we will turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. Amen!

Do not dwell on the past

The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,' says the LORD Almighty. 'And in this place I will grant peace,' declares the LORD Almighty." Haggai 2:9

Some of us are still looking back to our former house, our former jobs, our former positions, etc missing out on the current blessings God has in store for us. If I hadn't sold that house, if I hadn't left that job, if I had stayed in that town, if I had accepted that offer, etc etc.

Today's verse comes as a reminder that whatever God has blessed us with in the current times is definitely better than what we had before. Wherever we are at, our god will grant us peace. Let us be thankful for what we have right now rather than worrying over the past bad decisions and the such.

In Isaiah 43: 18-19 the Lord declares, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland..."

In 2 Corinthians 5:17 we read, If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

Indeed the new has come! Let us cherish it with a grateful heart.
