"Awake, awake, O Zion, clothe yourself with strength" Isaiah 52:1
We have discussed this verse several times at the coffee table before. Today also the Lord intends to speak to us through this very message: "Awake, awake; put on thy strength!".
What does it mean to clothe our self with strength? That brings us to yet another question: What is strength?
A quick look up in the dictionary suggests many meanings for the word 'strength':
Now that we know the meaning of strength, we kind of get an idea of what it means to "put on our strength". In simple words it means to "resist the attack" or "being strong".
These are very important for our spiritual life. We cannot be weak swaying whichever way the wind blows. We need to be strong in our fundamental beliefs in accordance with the Word of God, which will enable us to resist the attack from the devil, from the world and even from within.
So, hopefully you will add some 'strength' to your wardrobe this season - won't you?!
