Blessed is the man who does not stand in the way of sinners. Psalm 1:1

What is the way of sinners?

In the Gospel of Matthew we read about two ways - a broad and wide gate that leads to destruction & a small and narrow gate that leads to life:

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Matthew 7:13-14

Clearly the majority of the folks prefer the broad way, which is the way of sinners. Broad way appears to be a lot more fun. Everything is acceptable. Tolerance is how they term it. Obviousely there is no fear of the Lord, no repentence of their sins, no turning back until it is too late.

The narrow path on the other hand is the way of the righteous, that we are all bound to be on. Heartfelt repentance and forgiveness of our sins, or in other words salvation, is our ticket for the journey. The Lord is our King. The Holy Spirit is our guide. The Bible is our road map. What the Bible calls sin is sin indeed and we are to shun from it.

King David, often made sure he was on the right track. His constant prayer was:

See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:24

Prophet Isaiah writes: Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Isaiah 30:21

Let us make that our prayer as well. Let us be attentive to hear His instructions.

To reiterate, do not stand in the way of sinners but enter through the narrow gate that leads to life eternal!

God bless you all!
