Pin It Now!
There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him:
* haughty eyes,
* a lying tongue,
* hands that shed innocent blood,
* a heart that devises wicked schemes,
* feet that are quick to rush into evil,
* a false witness who pours out lies, and
* a man who stirs up dissension among brothers. Proverbs 6:16-19
I am sure we are familiar with this list of things that are detestable (odious - abhorrent - loathsome - abominable - hateful) to the Lord.
If we think deeper most of us are guilty of at least one of these! For those who deny it completely, how about the "white lies" that often slip thru' our mouths? Indeed it is lying!
It is a shocking realization for us "grown" Christians that we could even be part of the "rest of them" out there.
We have never arrived until our last breath or until the Lord returns whichever occurs first. Till then it takes a constant effort to walk in faith, staying clear of the things that are detestable to the Lord.
With God's help we can! Amen!
