Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Proverbs 31:30

Humility is the fear of the LORD; its wages are riches and honor and life. Proverbs 22:4

Today's Scriptures explain that a humble spirit is what it takes to become more beautiful!

Interestingly this is way opposite to what the world calls as beauty. The world cheers for loud, proud, fearless personalities. But God expects a calm, composed, humble personalities. Surely there is a clash! Whose call we heed?

Apostle Paul writes in Romans 12:2, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will."

He reiterates again in Colossians 3:12, "As God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience."

In Philippians 2:3 he instructs, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves."

I know it is tough - to let go of things, to slow down, to take a back seat while others rush in. But remember, by doing so, we will turn out to be more beautiful in the eyes of our Maker. Isn't that what we strive for?

Have a blessed Monday!
