We encouraged you and comforted you as we urged you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into His own kingdom and glory. 

And we continually thank God that in receiving the word of God from us, you did not accept it as the word of men, but as the true word of God— the word now at work in you who believe. 

1 Thessalonians 2:12-13

Good morning my friends. Thank you for joining me to have "coffee with Jesus" - your time alone with God.

It is my earnest prayer that the scriptures shared over the coffee table here are taken in the right context as intended - as the Word of God and not of men. Amen.

In that case we ought to apply the scriptures in our daily walk with the Lord. Because the scripture insists: "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.". James 1:22. 

In the light I thought it would be ideal to learn some simple instructions from the Word of God for the next few weeks, and see if we can apply it in our lives.
