When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear your name, O LORD God Almighty. Jeremiah 15:16

When was the last time we feasted on the Word of God? Can we relate to the verse above where Prophet Jeremiah says he ate His words which were his joy and his heart's delight.

It is not just Jeremiah who enjoyed the words of the Lord...

King David sings:

How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Psalm 119:103

The ordinances of the Lord are... sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb. Psalm 19:9-10

Job too loved them, he said: I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread. Job 23:12

Jesus in response to the temptations by satan answered: "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" Matthew 4:4

Peter instructs: Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation... 1 Peter 2:2

It is a true joy 'eat'ing the Word of God. Why not have some today? Have a blessed day!

Taste and see that the LORD is good. Psalm 34:8
