I am sure you noticed how the verses got stronger and stronger as we read through the list above. It starts as a suggestion, became a command and ends in a warning.
This is a good reason to analyze our selves if we trust in any men. How about our bosses? Husbands? Neighbors? Parents? Or even your own hands? Are we clinging on to mere men or our ability as our "source" forgetting that the ultimate Source is the Lord God Almighty? This can't be.
Today's take away is from Isaiah 26:4 which once again re insists the importance of trusting in the Lord: Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.

I am enjoying my coffee with Jesus. This is a wonderful concept, spiritually speaking, of sitting across the table with Jesus while having coffee together. Got me wondering if He drinks His black or with sugar and creamer. Perception is the key concept with trust. Humanly speaking, I think that trust is usually easily established in a relationship for most people but once that trust is broken it is nearly impossible or at least extremely difficult to reestablish. Now spiritually speaking, If a person's perspective of God is incorrect (mis-perception) and we perhaps view Him as a distrustful masochist then it will be quite difficult to even establish that trust to begin with. I believe that once a person has the correct perception of who God is (Luke 15:11-32) then that person has a better shot at establishing that trust and, in turn, begin a loving relationship with Him. Even then, it is a decision that only they can make just like the son made the decision to get out of the pig pen and go back home.
