But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. Psalm 27:14

Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land. Psalm 37:34

I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined to me, and heard my cry. Psalm 40:1

Waiting on the Lord, is insisted time and time again throughout the scriptures. Yet we find it hard to wait.

Interestingly the scriptures above - all of them - do not stop with just the suggestion to wait, to proceed to explain the outcome of waiting such as:

* strength renewed
* exalted to inherit the land
* Our cries heard
* LORD inclined to hear our plea
... etc.

For those among us who are a little impatient (like me), may be we should try it too - wait on the Lord, to be heard, renewed, strengthened & answered.

What say?
