There will be heard once more the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, and the voices of those who bring thank offerings to the house of the Lord, saying, “Give thanks to the Lord Almighty, for the Lord is good; his love endures forever.” For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were before,’ says the Lord. Jeremiah 33:10-11
We are in troublesome times, or so it seems. Stock market is tumbling, jobless numbers are rocketing, home prices are falling and there is a general feeling of panic among the general public. Today's Scripture is apt promise from the Lord for times like this for those who trust in the Lord.
Clearly we see Jeremiah's prophecy of decades ago can be perfectly relevant to current times and I believe strongly that the Lord speaks it today to encourage each one of us in Christ Jesus.
There will be sounds of joy among us, there will be weddings among us, there will be grateful hearts among us, the fortune of our lands, jobs, vehicles, houses will all be restored!
How many of you believe this is indeed a promise from the Lord? For those who believe it is yours to keep! I believe!
