"Go, consecrate the people. Tell them, 'Consecrate yourselves in preparation for tomorrow; for this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: That which is devoted is among you, O Israel. You cannot stand against your enemies until you remove it. Joshua 7:13
Once again we are reminded of the same message as yesterday: Consecrate yourselves! But this time we have a clear direction as to exactly what it is that need to be taken care of first; what it is that brings us defeat against our enemies? The answer is 'the devoted things among us'.
What are these devoted or consecrated things among us? Is there anything that belongs to the Lord but we secretly hold on to it as ours? How about our tithes? It is not ours to keep!
Let us give to the Lord what duly belongs to Him. Only then we can face our enemies victoriously. Tomorrow we shall discuss more on tithing... God bless you all!
