"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding" 9:10

So, the first signs of having gained wisdom is the 'fear of the Lord' in us. Fear here also means reverence, regard, respect etc.

If we don't have this fear or regard for the Lord we can be almost certain we haven't gained wisdom yet, as the Scripture clearly explains that without the fear of the Lord, there is no starting point for wisdom.

When we respect or revere or regard our Lord, we can be certain we are on the right track towards attaining wisdom. He fills us with the godly wisdom which we need on a daily basis for making right decisions in matters big or small...

When we fear the Lord, our life will be set apart from the rest of the crowd; our mind will be focused on godly things; our spirits will be in communion with the Holy Spirit which teaches us the right from the wrong. The 'regard for the Lord' becomes our very nature. Amen!

Let's be careful not to be carried away with what the world calls as "wisdom". The world questions the existence of God, the world declines His grace on the cross, the world says it is foolishness to trust in the Lord, the world questions the divine birth of Christ, the world doubts the resurrection of the Lord, the world mock at the Return of the King, etc. This is worldly wisdom which the Bible warns us against. The wisdom we need to strive for is the godly wisdom which is in line with the Word of God. Amen!

Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a “fool” so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. 1 Corinthians 3:18-19

Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. Proverbs3:7
