He says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth,' and to the rain shower, 'Be a mighty downpour.' So that all men he has made may know his work, he stops every man from his labor. Job 37:6
Once a poor Indian preacher shared this in one of his sermon. He assured that without any doubt one can believe God made man (Adam) from the dirt because, at the first drop of rain every man runs towards a shelter - lest the mud dissolves and he melts away in the running water. Though he said it jokingly I could see the innermost meaning in those words, and wondered at the God given wisdom to the poor preacher.
Here we see Job's perspective on snow and rain. He says, God sends snow and rain so that all men he has made may know His work, God stops every man from his labor. How true! Can man make snow or rain in such abundance? Can he modulate the snow fall or rain? Definitely not! It is for sure the works of His hands and God alone can control it.
In verse 23 of the same chapter he says, The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power; in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress. Amen!
