Celebrate the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in your crops from the field. Exodus 23:16
This is the same as the Feast of Tabernacles, but here called the Feast of Ingathering, because at this time of the year all the fruits of the earth were gathered in. Feast of tabernacles, signifies that the Israelites lived for 40 years in the tents or the tabernacles in the wilderness.
In 2 Corinthians Chapter 5, Apostle Paul associates our body as "tent" or "temporary dwelling". Now that the end of the year is nearing let us celebrate the feast of the tabernacle remembering that we have lived for ____ (fill in the blanks with your age) years in our "tents".
It is also the Feast of Ingathering when we take a tally of all our "crops" or in other words count our blessings in the year that is slipping by... our monthly bills were paid of somehow or other, we were protected in our journeys, we had meals every single day, we had friends and many happy occasions.... you can add more to the list I am sure.
Let us gather in all our "crops" and remain grateful to our God Almighty. Let us praise God for His provisions and trust God for the New Year and beyond. Happy Feast of Ingathering!
