"Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year and Sarah will have a son." Genesis 18:14
Abraham & Sarah had a burden; they wanted a child. But we see that they were not sad or depressed. They were happily going about their daily business praising the Lord, keeping their communication open with the Lord, entertaining guests, eating merrily and remaining cheerful.
They didn't let their burden take over their joy and peace of mind. That's when the Lord appears and tells Abraham that they will have a child same time next year. Sarah laughs; responding to that the Lord Himself asks: Is anything too hard for the Lord?
What is your burden today? Are you praying for a child too or a job or what is it? Let us bring it to the Lord this morning. Our Lord Himself asks: Is anything too hard for the Lord?
What do you say? Is there really anything too hard for Him? Test Him yourself. How? Of course by trusting these verses: At the appointed time next year you would have received your blessing already! With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)
For now, keeping the burden aside let's turn to praising and worshipping His Holy Name. Let's do our part; He will do His! Amen!
