He grants peace to your borders and satisfies you with the finest of wheat.Psalm 147:14

Peace is defined in the dictionary as follows:
1. The absence of war or other hostilities.
2. Freedom from quarrels and disagreement; harmonious relations.
3. Public security and order
4. Inner contentment; serenity: peace of mind.

Our Lord is also called Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). To know that our Lord is the Prince of Peace is to understand that He has the authority to impart peace to us. In fact, Jesus says in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you."

When someone gives us something, it is important we receive it and put it to use. It is not enough to know God gives us peace; we need to accept it and use it.

When doubts arise, when our hearts are troubled, we need to remind ourself of the peace our Lord gives us. The inner contentment or serenity or peace of mind comes from knowing that our Lord is in control. Amen!

May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels. Psalm 122:7
